PURCHASING PROGRAM REQUIRED LAPTOPS

All program laptops are available to order in store or online (bookstore.statetechmo.edu).

  1. Laptops will be available for pickup in the bookstore shortly before the fall semester begins.
  2. All laptops must be picked up in the bookstore (no shipping to home addresses).
  3. Laptop purchases are nonrefundable. If the student separates from the program or the College and has not paid for the laptop in full, the student must pay the remainder of the balance of the laptop in full.
  4. Students will be able to utilize excess financial aid available to purchase the laptop. Financial aid, as long as completed and accepted, is available for making bookstore purchases approximately one week before the semester starts. If sufficient financial aid is not available, students will be allowed to charge the laptop to their student account and include the charge in payment plans available for student account balances. Students approved for VR, VA/VR, TRA, etc. cannot pick up their laptop until formal authorization has been received from the third-party funding source.
  5. Students will receive a three-year limited warranty. Warranty coverage begins from the original ship date of the device which is approximately 30 days before the laptop is available to the student. Limited warranty covers common accidents outside of the system warranty such as damage from accidental drops, spills, and electrical surges. Repairs to be completed in depot or onsite, depending on the issue. Any uncovered warranty repairs will be at the expense of the student. This warranty does not cover abuse/misuse of the laptop or lost or stolen laptops. All warranty work will be managed by the IT Helpdesk.
